Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Required Information
At Callahan Law Firm, we want you to be fully-informed about the bankruptcy filing process. When filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, you’ll need to file a petition and schedules in addition to your means test. These forms, designed to give the bankruptcy court a snapshot of your financial situation, outlines the following information:
- Your debts
- Your assets
- Your sources of income
- Your current monthly living expenses
- Your previous two years’ income
- Any property you sold or gave away in the past two years
- Any property you are protecting from being sold by the bankruptcy court
This will also require you to provide paycheck stubs from at least the past six months, your most recent federal and state tax returns and copies of your most recent bills and/or collection letters.
