Necessary Forms for Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

Whether you’re trying to prevent foreclosure, repossession of a vehicle, or reorganize your debt, or otherwise, preparing for Chapter 13 bankruptcy requires more than just the means test. You must also file a petition and other forms (or schedules), ideally electronically, to give the bankruptcy court an overview of your specific financial situation.
This information includes:
- A list of any debts
- A list of any assets
- All sources of income
- Your previous two years' income
- Current monthly living expenses
- Property you are protecting from being sold by the bankruptcy court
- Property you sold or gave away during the previous two years
You should also compile all paycheck stubs going back six months, your most recent federal and state tax returns and copies of your most recent bills and/or collection letters.
